Call of Duty: Warzone Quiz
In 2020, fans of Call of Duty were excited for the addition of the Call of Duty: Warzone game. This game is free to play and is part of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War games, but you don’t need to have either of these to join in on the fun. As the game is available for such a wide variety of devices, it’s been a hit with players around the world as they join games with up to 150 other players.
Availability
Available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows, the game offers cross-platform play and progression between all three of the titles. With three different modes to choose from, there’s always something new and exciting each time you return. Choose between Battle Royale, Plunder, and Resurgence modes, and enjoy collecting the new in-game currency, which you can spend at Buy Stations and around the game’s world. While the game only allowed you to play in squads of up to three people during its initial launch, it since added updates with Solos, Duos, and Quads.
The game has generally been highly rated by players and critics, and the maps, in particular, were really positively received. In the first two months of its release, an amazing 60 million people downloaded the game, and by the end of 2020, 85 million players were registered.
The two most popular game modes are Plunder and Battle Royale, and it was only the second Battle Royale installment in the series, after the Blackout mode that was featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The difference here is you now use Cash, the in-game currency, instead of relying so much on gadgets. With up to 150 players, this is quite an increase from the previous 100 that you could play with. From time to time, limited-time modes even offer the chance for 200 players to join together for a game.
Battle Royale
The Battle Royale mode features the shrinking map, which is commonly found in other similar games. As the game continues, the larger game map shrinks, and players are eliminated a few at a time. A green gas contaminates these areas and kills off the players who don’t make it over to the new play area in time. There’s a big emphasis in this game on the vehicles, which adds a new element to the series.
In the Plunder mode, teams work to find $1 million of Cash, which is scattered across the map. The team that finds the most money at the end is the winner, and this adds another fun option for players returning to the game. There are also many different limited-time modes that were added to this game, such as the Mini Royale mode and the Armored Royale. With so many different options, it’s obvious why the game is so addictive to players.
The original Battle Royale map, Verdansk, is the primary map for most of the modes in this game. There was even a special night-time version that was introduced for a Halloween event at one time. Rebirth Island is the second map and is based on a real-life island. It’s very similar in style to Alcatraz Island, which was seen in Blackout mode in Black Ops 4. The difference with this island in comparison to the main map is that only 40 players can play in a match. It has a unique rebirth system, where players can come back to life after a certain time. This mode is switched off after the first ten minutes but is fun at the beginning of each game to increase gameplay time for players.
