The latest series of Forza Horizon 4 will be the 36th major content update since the game was released worldwide in October 2018. The duration of this series will be from June 3rd to July 1st. As with previous updates, there is a long list of hard-to-find vehicles for players to earn through events or through purchases.
Starting with the Summer Season, which lasts from June 3rd to 10th, players can earn the 1973 Mazda RX-3 at the 50% unlock and at the 80% unlocked, are rewarded with the 1987 Mercedes-Benz AMG Hammer Coupe. The 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante is awarded for completing the “Calm Before the Huracan” trial, and in the “Summer Games” Seasonal Playground Games, players can win the epic 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4. And as for the completion rewards for Seasonal Events, players are rewarded with the 2007 Renault Clio RS 197, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S, and the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Coupe. In the shop, the 2018 Apollo Intensa Emozione is available for 600 FP, while the 1992 GMC Typhoon can be purchased for 300 FP.
Following will, of course, be the Autumn Season which lasts from June 10th to the 17th. Participating in the “With Love From Australia” trial, players are awarded with the 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV and can find the 2005 Honda NSX-R in the “Autumn Games” playground. For the seasonal events, players will be awarded with the 1992 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC ST185, the 1982 Toyota MR2 SC, and the 1972 Mazda Cosmo 110S Series II. The 50% unlock earns players the 2010 Lexus LFA and the 1995 Toyota MR2-GT for the 80% unlock. It’s not yet clear which cars will be available in the Forzathon Shop during this season or any of the following seasons. We expect that information will be gradually announced over the next few days.
Next, the Winter Season will go from the 17th to the 24th of June. The 50% unlock earns players a Horizon Backstage Pass, and the 1970 For GT70 is awarded for the 80% unlock. The “American Car-Tographer” trial rewards players with the 2016 Hoonigan Gymkhana 9 Ford Focus RS RX. The “Winter Games” playground will award players the 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT.
Finally, the Spring Season will last from June 24th to July 1st. Participating in the “Beaches and Bentleys” trial awards players with the 1991 Bentley Turbo R, while the 2018 Renault Megane RS is won in the “Spring Games” playground games. Three beautiful legendary cars will be awarded in the season events, including the 2019 Zenvo TSR-S, 2020 Koenigsegg Jesko, and the 2002 Ferrari Enzo Ferrari. For the Season Completion bonuses, the 50% unlock awards players with the 2018 Saleen S1 and the 1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 for the 80% unlock.
Aside from what new hard-to-find cars the players can win in various events, some adjustments were made to improve stability and performance. Still, more specifics about exactly what changes were made are difficult to find because Microsoft has not yet provided many of those details. It’s possible that Microsoft is attempting to fix issues related to the Steam version since the update has many players reporting that the game constantly crashes upon launch. Thankfully, though for a yet unknown reason, this appears to be an issue experienced by some Steam users, not all.
Forza Horizon 4 is among the best racing games in recent years and has earned overwhelmingly positive reviews. It is a Microsoft exclusive title, and therefore currently available only for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. With the E3 conference just a few days away, quite a few Forza fans are eager to see more information about the next installment in the Forza series, Forza Horizon 5.
