Fortnite – Beast Boy and the Teen Titan’s Cup
Published May 13, 2021Beast Boy from DC’s Teen Titans is coming to Fortnite this week, and the new Teen Titan’s Cup will be starting soon!
Beast Boy will be available on Thursday, May 13th, in the Fortnite item shop. He will come with both his Beast Boy superhero outfit and Garfield Logan casual clothing, the Beast Bat pickaxe, a game controller on a pizza box as his unique back bling, and his very cool Go Ape emote, which transforms him into a green gorilla.
This is not the first time a character from DC’s Teen Titans has made an appearance on Fortnite. Raven, another character from the popular youth-centered superhero cartoon show, became available not long ago. The two Teen Titans characters are joining a very long list of DC heroes and villains that have come to Fortnite, including Batman, Harley Quinn, Joker, Poison Ivy, Aquaman, Catwoman, Flash, and Green Arrow.
If you aren’t able to wait until Thursday to get this playable character skin, you have the opportunity to unlock Beast Boy early in the Teen Titans Cup, a dou tournament that begins on May 12th. Teams can compete in a maximum of 10 matches within the event’s 3-hour timeframe and accumulate points for both eliminations and placement.
In order to participate in Teen Titan’s Cup matches, players must have two-factor authentication enabled on their Epic account and have an account level of 30 or higher. By the start of each match, all eligible players on a duos team must rank in the Open League or higher within the Arena in their own region. Each elimination will earn the player one point. For each Teen Titan’s Cup match, contestants will be ranked based on points according to the following system:
- 45th-50th: 1 point
- 40th-44th: 2 points
- 35th-39th: 3 points
- 30th-34th: 6 points
- 25th-29th: 9 points
- 24th: 10 points
- 23rd: 11 points
- 22nd: 12 points
- 21st: 13 points
- 20th: 14 points
- 19th: 15 points
- 18th: 16 points
- 17th: 17 points
- 16th: 18 points
- 15th: 19 points
- 14th: 20 points
- 13th: 21 points
- 12th: 22 points
- 11th: 23 points
- 10th: 24 points
- 9th: 25 points
- 8th: 26 points
- 7th: 27 points
- 6th: 28 points
- 5th: 29 points
- 4th: 30 points
- 3rd: 32 points
- 2nd: 36 points
- Victory Royale: 42 points
Anyone who participates in the tournament will earn both the Beast Boy and Raven spray, and teams that score 8 points or more will also earn a new Beast Boy and Raven loading screen (designed by Gabriel Piccolo, the artist of Raven Loves Beast Boy). Depending upon the region, to earn the Beast Boy outfits and the back bling teams must place at the following ranks or higher:
- Europe: 2625th place or higher
- NA East: 1376th place or higher
- NA West: 750th place or higher
- Brazil: 750th place or higher
- Asia: 250th place or higher
- Oceania: 250th place or higher
- Middle East: 250th place or higher

Since release, the game has been a whirlwind of success, currently drawing in at least 12 million concurrent players. A winner for Best Multiplayer Game in The Game Awards 2018, and Best Ongoing Game in The Game Awards 2019, Fortnite was published just a few years ago by Epic Games and is available on Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android.
