First released in June 2018 for both Android and iOS, Bloons TD 6 has become one of the most popular games with players around the world. The game has a long and interesting history, and we’re sure many of you remember back to the original Bloons series that started it all.

The Bloons TD series came about as an expansion from the original Bloons series. The original series featured single-player puzzle games featuring a monkey popping balloons, which are better known as bloons throughout the games. The bloons have various special powers, and the original Bloons game was released as a Flash game. From there, this has resulted in many spin-off games and mobile games. Finally, the Bloons Tower Defense (Bloons TD) series came out, reaching a new and expanded audience.

Bloons TD is a whole series of tower defense games, of which Bloons TD 6 is the most recent addition. Throughout the game, players aim to pop as many bloons with towers in the time they have. With every new iteration of the game, more difficulty modifiers and additional features have been added. For example, in Bloons TD 3, difficulty modifiers first appeared, and the following version, Bloons TD 4, resulted in upgrades and unlockable towers.

From the time of Bloons TD 5, the series has expanded even more with multiplayer games, such as Bloons TD Battles and Bloons Monkey City, where you can build a monkey civilization. Fans have a long time to wait until Bloons TD 7 will be released, and so the popularity of Bloons TD 6 is still going strong after a few years. Bloons TD 6 introduced 3D graphics, new bloon types, and Line of Sight. On top of those, there are also 5th tier upgrades and a Trophy Store. As you can see, there was a lot for Bloons TD fans to be excited about with this upgrade, hence why it’s been such a popular release.

Within Bloons TD 6, the gameplay is reasonably similar to the previous version, but the new upgrades make for a more exciting game for players. Purple bloons are now immune to fire and energy weapons, and Fortified Bloons offer a stronger version of the regular bloons. As the rounds progress, more bloon types are introduced, and the game becomes more challenging. This is one of the reasons why players still return to Bloons TD 6 over and over again, as there’s always something new to discover. Based on the map you choose to play on and the mode you opt for, you’ll collect Monkey Money throughout the game.

The Steam version of Bloons TD 6 was launched in December 2018, but unlike the earlier games in the series, there is no Flash game version on the Ninja Kiwi website. To this day, the game series has been played over 1 billion times with the mobile and web versions combined. Each version of the game has placed high on app and gaming charts and has generally been well received by gamers. Bloons TD 6 has been particularly enjoyed by the gaming community due to its extended gameplay and the variety of the gaming experience. However, some users do find it’s hard to replay still once they’ve got to a certain stage. For most fans, this isn’t an issue, and they happily return to Bloons TD 6 over and over again.
